This privacy policy governs your use of the software application Amp (“Application”) for mobile devices that was created by Patrick Schroen. The Application is a music player for Spotify that uses Slack and Twitter to crowdsource music requests, Google CSE (Custom Search Engine) for spelling correction, and their respective application program interface (“API”) external services.

 

What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?

User provided information

The Application obtains the information you provide when you download and use the Application. Spotify username, password and provided keys, or tokens for accessing the Slack, Twitter and Google API are stored locally on your mobile device only.

Automatically collected information

The Application does not collect information automatically about your mobile device.

 

Does the Application collect precise real time location information of the device?

The Application does not collect precise information about the location of your mobile device.

 

Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?

The Application does not transmit information about your mobile device. Only API requests, for Spotify, Slack, Twitter and Google API data are transmitted to their respective external services to provide the Application its features for music requests, playback, loading images and spelling correction.

 

What are my opt-out rights?

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling the Application. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device.

 

Data retention policy, managing your information

If you’d like to delete User Provided Data that you have provided via the Application, you can do so easily by uninstalling or clearing the data of the Application. You may use the standard uninstall or clear data processes as may be available as part of your mobile device.

 

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. We will notify you of any changes to our Privacy Policy by posting the new Privacy Policy here. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes. You can check the history of this policy by referring to the version history at the bottom of this document.

By using the Application, you are consenting to the use of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us.
